About the School
Metropolitan Design School is a co-educational, in-person learning environment dedicated to the study and practice of interior design. Our goal is to provide students with a strong foundation in design fundamentals while fostering creativity, innovation, and professional readiness.
The curriculum combines hands-on training with real-world industry exposure, beginning with the essentials of residential design and advancing to specialized topics such as lighting, perspective, and isometric drawing. As students progress, they gain the skills to design complex commercial spaces, including offices, restaurants, and public environments.
By graduation, MDS students are equipped with the knowledge, confidence, and creative insight needed to thrive in today’s dynamic and competitive design field. At MDS, small class sizes ensure personalized instruction and meaningful feedback. Learning Environment
Our on-site design library is stocked with premium materials including fabric, wood, metal, and stone samples from high-end manufacturers. Students gain hands-on experience with the same tools and resources used by design professionals, from textiles and wall coverings to furniture and lighting.
As a student at Metropolitan Design School, you’ll develop essential skills in color theory, spatial planning, and material sourcing.
